Concentus Musicus Fabraternus Josquin Des Prés has been founded in 1990 for initiative of his actual Director, Maestro Mauro Gizzi. The name Fabraternus became from "Fabrateria Vetus" the ancien latin name of Ceccano City, founded in 250 a.C. That name was kept till XII century. It counts over 55 choristers, together with different musicians that, depending from different music, gives life to different formations like, room orchestras, trio and quartets, vocal octets till polyphonic choir.

 This is perhaps the most interesting characteristic of the Concentus: the possibility to introduce many varied musical kinds and different executions of concerts. From 1990 up to date, Concentus has inserted in his repertoire, of sacred and profane music, passages of ancient music, polyphonic, barouche, part of opera thin to reach the Beatus Vir for double choir of Antonio Vivaldi and to the integral execution of the Requiem of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Also from the point of view of the executions, Concentus counts upto date, more than 400 concerts in Italy and abroad. Concentus has philologically reconstructed an important part of the music eighteenth-century Neapolitan, with the execution in first absolute modern of some passages of Francesco Feo and Niccolò Jommelli. It has more times sung in S. Peter Basilic in Vatican, during the Papal Chapels as Official Choir of the National Presidency of the "Azione Cattolica Italiana". The last occasions have been: on 1998, September 5th. on the occasion of the National meeting of Adults Sector, 1998, December 8th, Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, for the 10th, National Meeting of the Association, 2000, October 14th, for the Jubilee of the Families, , last meeting was this year March 19th, S. Joseph Mess for all Catholic Workers, all broadcast ones in direct television from National Channel Raiuno. Concentus Musicus Fabraternus organizes by now every year a season international concerts around the world arrived to the 13th edition, and it has in raced exchanges of experiences with artistic formations of Sweden, France, USA, Germany, Hungary, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, Belgium, Panama, Poland, Rosario in Argentina together to other contacts with Italian choirs; this year is scheduled to go to Greece to sing together with the choir that was guest in Italy last year. Recently Concentus has performed in concert and recorded in CD (for the embassy of France and the RAI, (Italian Radio Television) the integral one of the Oratories of Giacomo Carissimi with the Ensemble "Seicentonovecento" and "Music Image" , directed by the Maestro Flavio Colusso, with concerts in Rome (Villa Medici, Gran Salon, Oratorio of Gonfalone, Great Classroom of the university "La sapienza", Great Classroom of the Building of the Chancellery) and in the other Italian cities, as well as of unpublished music of Alessandro Scarlatti, Portelli, Amadori and Ziretti. Choir Josquin Des Pres has also recorded for RadioRai and has performed concerts in Vienna, Salisburgo, Rome, Paris, Venice, Budapest, Mathias Dom for the National Party of the Hungarian Republic, in Medjugorie, in Bratislava and Zagabria for the Missa In Tempore Aevum with Josè Carrerras and Cecilia Gasdia. It has also effected a tournée in France invited by Mayor of Avignone City and has been invited on the season 2000 - 2001 for the Festival On-Off of the Opera's Theater Of Avignon Et Des Pays De Vaucluse. Choir has also taken part to the lyric season of "La Barcaccia" for Radio Rai RadioTRE, of the Regal Theater of Parma and the Greek Theater in Rome, performing following operas: Barber of Seville, Turandot, Nabucco and Don Pasquale. On 2000th year has participated in the "Festival Palestrina Europa 2000". On 2001st year has participated in the season of the concerts of the cities of Bratislava and Praga under invitation of the respective Municipalities. On 2002nd year has held concerts for Europe singing in Bruges (Belgium), Knokke-heist and Maasmechelen. On 2003rd year in Berlin and Hamburg. Concentus Musicus Fabraternus is the liturgical choir of the solemn celebrations, in Rome, in the basilica of "S. Giorgio al Velabro", of the Sacred Military Order Costantinian of St. George, driven by H.R.M. Mr. Ferdinando of Borbone of the Two Sicilies. In such role Choir has sung on November 1st 2003 in the solemn celebration for the Baptism of the "Infanta Maria Carolina of Borbone", in Caserta's Royal Palace. On 2004th has also sung in the choir of the television Fiction of RaiUno, "La Monaca di Monza". On 2005th year, the Choir "Concentus Musicus Fabraternus Josquin des Pres", to celebrate composer Marc Antoine Charpentier in the third centenary of the death, has performed two concerts, one in Villa S. Stefano (Small Country near by Ceccano) and in Veroli's Cathedral (Town close to Ceccano). The initiative was is of the respective Municipality in order to meet new year with the exciting notes of the "Te Deum" of Marc Antoine Charpentier, that is the best piece of the concert produced by the musical formation that has its centre in Ceccano but it gathers numerous musicians coming from the whole Frosinone's province. The two effected concerts the first days of January are inside a series devoted to Charpentier: the first concert is held December 12th 2004 to Ferentino, in the shine of Saint Maria Maggiore, with the "Te Deum" inserted inside the Mass of thanks for the anniversary of S. Lucia. The second concert has had in Vicalvi in the church of the Saints Giovanni Battista and Evangelist, on December 26. Both concerts included the following "arie": "Confirma hoc Deus" of Antonio Salieri, "Credo", of Antonio Vivaldi and "Alma Redemptoris Mater" of Francesco Palatta, native musician of "Castro dei Volsci" (City close to Ceccano in Frosinone Province). M° Palatta was manager of the Sistina Chapel around 1750 y. In short almost a festival of Baroque sacred music around the most suggestive themes of the faith and the art. Credo was performed with then help of Tonino Ciammaruconi, Trumpet Maestro and director of Ferentino Music Band. The soloist voices have always been those of Victoria Di Annibale, soprano; Cinzia Cristofanilli, soprano; Fabiola Mastrogiacomo, mezzosoprano; Enrico Talocco,Tenor;Adriano Costantini,Bass. Alessandra Maura has alwais accompanied with Organ. Naturally the direction of the Choir Concentus Musicus Fabraternus Josquin Des Pres, has been entrusted always to Mauro Gizzi, conducting Maestro and founder of the Polyphonic Group. The Conocentus has had a very intensive period during the last weeks of 2004 and the first ones of 2005 in fact, besides the concerts for Charpentier, has been hocked in the Concert of End Year to Casamari, with the Mass of Gloria of Pietro Mascagni, sung together with two choirs :City of Pesaro and City of Alvito (FR), with the Ukraine Filarmonic Orchestra coming from Donietsk entitled to "Prokofiev" directed by the M° Alexandr Michailovich Dolinsky. Such exhibition was witnessed from numerous Civil and Religious authorities and abaout 1000 people. Besides on January 1st to Isernia and to Campobasso the following day, the Choir Concentus Musicus Fabraternus Josquin Des Pres, direct always from his Founder Mauro Gizzi, was performing together with the Choir City of Alvito, directed by Luigi Viglietta with the IV time of the IX Sinfonia of Beethoven, characterized by the famous Choral on the Hymn to the Joy of Schiller. The execution of the whole Symphony had been entrusted to the Symphonic Orchestra of Molise Region, directed by the M° Franz Albanese director of the Conservatory of Campobasso City. To this last exhibitions have assisted more than 500 people crowded into the respective Basilicas. On July of 2005 the Choir has recordered a CD that will go out on the occasion of the "Party of the Trees for reforesting" and CD was divulged in all the schools of Region Lazio with Music of Alexander Vessella and verses of Joseph Mantica written in 1899. In August 2005 the choir has been hocked in the Lyric Festival of the abbey of Casamari where has sung with success in the Operas of G. Verdi "La Traviata" and "Aida". At the end of August 2005 the Choir has effected a tourneé of 11 days to Rosario in Argentina where he was exhibited in three profane concerts with pieces of G.Verdi, of G.Puccini, of Bizet and in two religious concerts devoted to Antonio Vivaldi. They were exhibited together with the Argentinian choir "Pablo Casals" directed by the M° Mario Zeppa in the cities of Chañar Ladeado, Corral de Bustos, Capitan Bermudez, Venado Tuerto. The last concert was in Hector Astengo Theater of Rosario. The Tourneé has been successful because is unusual to listen concerts with 130 coristis and 20 orchestral Masters, so that all fans of the beautiful song were assembled for listening good music. Just returned from South of America the Choir has effected another concert in Frosinone singing his preferred repertoire and another concert has been performed to Boville Ernica. In this occasion, in presence of the Bishop of Ferentino, Veroli and Frosinone, the choir has sung the Mass of the Angels in Gregoriano the "Te Deum" of M.A. Charpentier and "Quae east Ista" of Franck. At the end of the year 2005 the choir was singing in Casamari "End of the year Concert" "Vesperes solemnes de confessore" of W.A.Mozart and "Chananea" together with Choir City of Sora and part of "Liberiana choir" of Rome with Italian orchestra directed by M°Valentino Miserachs. Actually the choir is studing "Messiah" of Hendel to be sing in Casamari concert at tha end of the year.
